ASL Apps for Android

ASL Scoring ASL Competitor
Build a New Match
  • Go to Match Admin
  • Create a Match
  • A Club is required
  • A League is required
  • A scoring type is required
Building Stages
  • Stages are defaulted to the next number but may be changed as needed.
  • TimePlus scoring takes very little input, therefore building the stage only requires a few fields like number, name and penalty amount if non-standard.
  • Until there are scores in the match, the stages can be added, edited and deleted.
  • If any scores have been entered, a stage may only be deactivated, not deleted. Scores of any deactivated stage will not count in the results.
Adding Squads
  • Squads may be numbered at will
  • If there are no competitors in a squad, it may be deleted
Registration

Registration is to add or subtract competitors from any match. If you add competitors to a match that was downloaded, they will not appear in the online registration but will be in results. If you download a match a second time, all the registration data will fall back to the online version and any added competitors will be lost

  • When you first open the app, the app tries to get the latest config and member list from the ASL website.
  • Click Add Competitor
  • Enter Member number or start typing last name and select the member
  • You may also add a guest competitor but they will be listed as Unclassified
  • Choose a Division
  • Class and Categories will auto populate
Downloading a match

Downloading a match is for when a match has been pre-registered on the ASL website. All entries are completed online.

  • Download by PIN number will download an empty match (registration only)
  • Click on download, enter your member credentials and a list of matches available to you will be presented.
  • Select the match
  • Use the Check In feature to verify each competitors name, division and squad. This will mark them active and available to score
  • If a match has scores, you will not be able to download
Uploading a match

Uploading a match can be done at any time during the match. All results will add to the existing data of that match.

  • You must have permission in your ASL member profile to upload a match on behalf of a club.
  • Once a match has been uploaded, partial or full results, it may only be appended by the original member that posted the first match results.
  • Once a match has scores, it will not be available for download.
Live Scoring

The intent of live scoring is to push scores as soon as they are completed. Scores can be seen on the ASL website, the competitor app or on live TV screens.

  • Reliable Internet at the stage of the match is a must!
  • Each time a score is approved, the tablet will record the score internally and attempt to send the score to the ASL servers online. These scores can be accessed by anyone on the internet or the competitor app.
